Troy Glover Goes Solo
Troy Glover has been for a number of years doing a job at the airfield which has been mostly lost to the ages being the young guy who can always be found at the airfield in his spare time, eagerly performing odd jobs around the place and meticulously keeping the clubrooms clean and tidy, all with the aim of getting as much flying as he can.
In New Zealand it’s not possible to solo a microlight before the age of 16, so on the 18th of April a very proud Glover family and friends gathered on Troys birthday to surprise him with an audience for his first solo, followed by cake and a present of an E-6B.
Troy solo’d first in Ross Marfell’s Pioneer 300, and later in the day solo’d the club’s Rans S6 JOL.
