The Canterbury Recreation Aircraft Club has some great facilities at Rangiora airfield that club members are always welcome to use.

The clubrooms are very modern, we have a kitchen, sitting area with comfortable couches (that convert to beds if you're staying over), a television and VCR, phone and fax, a toilet and even a shower. Outside on the deck we have a couple of picnic tables for those lazy summer afternoons and lunch-time barbeques held by the club on a regular basis.

You are always welcome to pay our clubrooms a visit, we have drinks and food available for modest prices, and if you're so inclined you could cook yourself a small meal while you wait for your lesson. There are usually people around, and all financial club members are entitled to the alarm and door lock codes.

As well as the clubrooms there are two large hangers available for member aircraft storage, we charge a reasonable monhly fee for this.

Even when you're not flying, the Rangiora airfield is a great place to spend your weekend afternoons.

Rangiora airfield has 3 well maintained grass strips, and as well as our club, the Sport Aviation Association and Canterbury Aero club are regular users of the airfield, and it's not unusual for the odd helicopter or "warbird" to make an appearance.
