Rangiora Airfield (NZRT)
Rangiora airfield (NZRT) is situated 3NM WNW of Rangiora township, it has 3 grass strips.
None of the runways have lighting, Jet A1 and Avgas 100 are available with Swipecard.
Many
microlights are NORDO so keep your eyes well peeled and follow circuit
procedures. Ag Operations are often carried out from the field (so
check for an A
by the windsock and be accordingly alert), Ag operators fly low with
short finals, so if they are flying just wait until they have completed
the sortie to avoid undue loss of hair.
